Streisand Slams Trump at LGBT Event

Barbra Streisand slammed Republican Donald Trump in an altered version of “Send in the Clowns.” Watch below.

Streisand performed at a Hillary Clinton LGBT campaign event in New York. The Clinton event drew a handful of celebrities, including Cynthia Nixon, Debra Messing, Laverne Cox, Andy Cohen, Kathy Najimy, Mary Louise Parker, Andrew Rannells, Zachary Quinto, Marissa Tomei,  Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Isaac Mizrahi, Donna Karan, Diane von Furstenberg, Harvey Weinstein and Barry Diller, according to The Wrap.

Tickets ran from $1,200 to $250,000, and donors who raised six figures received a meet-and-greet with the Democratic candidate.

Streisand, a gay icon, has been a strong Democratic supporter. Last spring, the singer and actress attended a fundraiser with President Obama in an effort to boost Congressional Democrats.

Oscar Isaac Finds Trump “Irritating”

Actor Oscar Isaac is no fan of Donald Trump.

The actor, best known for playing Po Dameron in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and his breakthrough role as a Sixties folk singer in Inside Llewyn Davis, is most bothered by Trump’s rhetoric around Latinos.

“[Trump is] definitely irritating,” Isaac told Rolling Stone. “The problem is it’s less about the guy that’s saying it, and more that he’s being the mouthpiece for a large part of the population. Because that’s me, that’s my family. We’re immigrants. What could be positive about it is that Trump could help to rally a lot of disparate parts of Latin America together. Because Latino is not a race – it’s a culture. There’s Chinese Latinos, there’s very white Latinos, there’s very dark Latinos, there’s black Latinos. There’s all sorts of variants – it’s not one thing.”

Scott Baio to GOP: Get behind Trump

Actor Scott Baio, who recently endorsed Republican presidential-frontrunner Donald Trump, called on the party to coalesce around the outspoken businessman.

“It’s a huge mistake,” Baio said of establishment Republicans not supporting Trump on Fox Business Network’s ‘Cavuto Coast to Coast.‘ “For some reason, they insist and continue to and will not stop shooting themselves in the head. Not the foot, the head.”

Baio, one of the more outspoken conservatives in Hollywood, wasn’t afraid to criticize the party.

“I just wish the Republican Party — which I don’t really consider myself a part of anymore, because I don’t trust them on anything — I just wish they would attack Democrats the way they attack their own.”

In his endorsement of Trump last week, Baio argued that the former ‘Apprentice’ host is the only one capable of fending off Hillary Clinton’s attacks.

“They’re going to attack whomever the Republican nominee is,” Baio said. “We need somebody to relentlessly, relentlessly attack Hillary. It’s the only way we’re going to win. I’m trying to be a classy guy, but to win elections nowadays, the Democrats and liberals attack viciously.”

George Clooney: Donald Trump a “xenophobic fascist”

George Clooney is no fan of The Donald.

In a recent interview with The Guardian, Clooney slammed Donald Trump over recent comments on the campaign trail.

“He’s just an opportunist. Now he’s a fascist; a xenophobic fascist,” Clooney said. “Let’s put things into perspective. You know, the truth of the matter is, in election season, things go crazy, and the loudest voices are the furthest and most extreme. So you hear a massively stupid idea, like we’re going to ban Muslims from the country. Now, we’re not ever going to do that.” He shrugs. “It says in the Statue of Liberty, bring us your huddled masses. It’s not what’s going to happen.”

The Academy Award-winning actor famously fundraised for President Obama in 2012 — raking in $12 million dollars at an event at the actor’s house.

In 2016, Clooney’s backing Hillary Clinton.

“I am a Hillary supporter. I am doing a fundraiser for her,” said Clooney.

Clooney gave Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) credit for his effort in the Democratic primary.

“I really love Bernie Sanders, and am really glad he is in the debate. He is forcing the conversation to things that never get talked about in US politics: disparity between the rich and the poor, which is getting worse and worse every day,” he said.

Latino Celebs Pledge to Vote Against GOP Prez Candidates

Twenty-two Latino celebrities signed a letter pledging not to vote for Donald Trump, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Jeb Bush or any other major Republican candidate.

George Lopez, Aubrey Plaza, Zoe Saldana, Carlos Santana, America Ferrera, Benjamin Bratt and Ivonne Coll are among the celebrities asking fellow Latino voters not to vote for any of the Republican presidential candidates based on “anti-immigrant fear mongering.”

“To Donald Trump and the Republican candidates Spirit requires integration and total acceptance of everyone on this blessed planet. I invite you to utilize your power of wealth, to restore, amend and heal your relationship with all your sisters and brothers! It’s never too late to graduate from the university of fear! Oprah Hits Back At T.I. For Comments On A Woman Occupying The Oval Office

Rapper T.I. faced an onslaught of backlash, including Oprah Winfrey’s, after telling a radio show host he wouldn’t vote for a woman for president, according to The Hill.

“Just because every other position that exists, I think a woman could do well,” said the rapper. “But the president, it’s kind of like, I just know that women make rash decisions emotionally — they make very permanent, cemented decisions — and then later, it’s kind of like it didn’t happen or they didn’t mean for it to happen.”

“I think you might be able to get the Loch Ness Monster elected before you could [a woman]. It’s not right, but I’m just saying I don’t think,” he added

Winfrey shot back at the rapper.

“You know what I say to that? I want to say, ‘Honey child, hush your mouth, you don’t know what you’re talking about.’”

The rapper apologized via Twitter.

During the interview, T.I. also dubbed Republican frontrunner Donald Trump as interesting, but said he could not endorse the real estate mogul.

“His racist remarks, all of his off-color statements, it makes it impossible to be, like, completely supportive of him,” he said. “But just knowing what he’s done for business, for himself, if he intends to do that for America, it would be beneficial. But I can’t cast no vote for him.”

Trump Gains Celebrity Endorsements, Digs

After what some political pundits called a mediocre second debate performance, GOP frontrunner Donald Trump can rest easy with endorsements from actor Gary Busey and New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

“I know him personally. I know him professionally. He’s a great guy. He’s sharp. He’s fast. He can change the country after the last eight years,” Busey told Fox News. The actor endorsed and then unendorsed Newt Gingrich in the 2012 GOP primary.

On Thursday, Brady said it would be “great” if Trump triumphed in 2016.

Meanwhile, Trump’s taken heat from a slew of celebrities:

Sharon Osbourne: “You don’t expect somebody in that sphere to behave that way.”

Robert Redford: “He’s got such a big foot in his mouth I’m not sure you could get it out.”

Andrew Garfield: “I just don’t understand the blatant lack of humanity that he is proudly exhibiting on a daily basis. [It is] harrowing.”

Salma Hayek: “We have to take this very seriously. This is very scary.”
“This is not a reality show. America is not a reality show. This is not a popularity contest. This is not Miss America or Miss Universe.”

Emily Blunt (To Republicans in general): “I became an American citizen recently, and that night, we watched the Republican debate and I thought, ‘This was a terrible mistake. What have I done?'”

Owen Wilson on Trump: Charlie Sheen of politics

Actor Owen Wilson dissed Donald Trump’s bid for the Republican presidential nomination in an interview with The Daily Beast.

“You can’t help but get a kick out of him, and I think part of it is we’re so used to politicians on both sides sounding like actors at press junkets—it’s sort of by rote, and they say all the right things,” Wilson laughed. “So here’s somebody who’s not following that script. It’s like when Charlie Sheen was doing that stuff—like, wow! He’s answering a question completely honestly, and in an entertaining way. You sort of feel he could be a character from Network.”

While Trump has said some obscene things on the campaign trail, Wilson acknowledged his ability to engage voters.

“I don’t know if I’m not taking it as seriously as I should,” he said. “But when he said he was going down to the border and he showed up at a press conference and said, ‘Now I’m going out to the border and I hope I’ll see you later’—sort of suggesting that it was so dangerous that ‘Who knows if I’ll see you later’… I don’t know, it was just funny to me. The guy is a showman. You have to sort of get a kick out of the guy. It is entertaining, for sure. That’s why people are tuning in.”

The actor, an Obama supporter, hasn’t thrown his support behind any of the 2016 hopefuls, but a Trump endorsement seems unlikely.

“You can’t honestly believe he really could be president, do you? I have a hard time believing that… that still seems so far away. That doesn’t quite seem realistic to me. But talk to me in a few months. We’ll see.”

Neil Young to Donald Trump: Stop Playing My Music

Neil Young is no fan of Donald Trump.

During Trump’s presidential announcement last week, Young’s Rockin’ in the Free World was played and the rocker was none too happy.

“Donald Trump was not authorized to use ‘Rockin’ In The Free World’ in his presidential candidacy announcement,” said a  statement from Young’s manager.

Young then endorsed Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who is seeking the Democratic nomination for the presidential race.

“Neil Young, a Canadian citizen, is a supporter of Bernie Sanders for President of the United States of America.”

Maggie Gyllenhaal Disappointed in Obama

Actress Maggie Gyllenhaal, previously a staunch supporter and contributor to Barack Obama’s presidential campaigns, said the Commander in Chief has let her down.

“I really believed in him, and I’m not sure what he believes in anymore,” Gyllenhaal told TIME magazine in late July.

Gyllenhaal contributed $3,300 to Obama’s 2008 campaign and $2,500 to the 2012 campaign, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.

“Look, I get it, I know. It’s a complicated job,” Gyllenhaal said. “I could never do it. But I hope for a leader who will stand up and be unpopular.”
