John Legend, Christina Aguilera, Stevie Wonder and More to Perform For Hillary Clinton

The Hillary Victory Fund is hosting  “She’s With Us” concert for Hillary Clinton, featuring Christina Aguilera, John Legend, Stevie Wonder, Ricky Martin and Andra Day on June 6, the eve of the California primary.

Tickets begin at $45. All funds raised will fund programs in states to register voters, recruit volunteers and support get out the vote efforts.

The first “She’s With Us” concert was held at Radio City Music Hall, with performers Katy Perry, Elton John and Andra Day in March.

Obama Hits Up L.A., Meets With Will Smith

President Obama made a fundraising swing through Los Angeles last week, which included an appearance on The Ellen Show and hanging out with celebrity donors.

Obama attended a high-dollar fundraisers at HBO President of Programming Michael Lombardo and Leah and Sam Fisher’s house, where John Legend performed. Other co-hosts included Mark Ronson, music manager Brandon Creed and Empire actress and ex-Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland and her husband/manager Tim Weatherspoon, according to Deadline

Later that day, Obama met privately with Dreamworks’ Jeffrey Katzenberg, actor Will Smith and Disney’s Alan Horn, according to Deadline.

 

Calif. Senate candidate Kamala Harris raking in Hollywood cash

California attorney general and United States senate candidate Kamala Harris has won the financial support of many big Hollywood names, The Hill reports.

Singer John Legend ($2,000), Family Guy writer Seth MacFarlane ($5,000), actor Sean Penn ($5,000), Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg ($5,200), director Rob Reiner ($2,700) and producer Laurie David ($5,400).

Other names to pop up on campaign finance reports include producers Norman Lear and Chuck Lorre, Steven Bochco, former ESPN personality and now-NFL Network host Rich Eisen, talent agent Ari Emanuel, model Julianne Phillips, producer Brian Grazer, Viacom President Doug Herzog, Walt Disney Studios Chairman Alan Horn and NBCUniversal Vice Chairman Ron Meyer.

Harris is running to replace retiring Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.).

Celebs Flock to D.C. for Inauguration Festivities

Washington D.C. may not have been as star-studded during this weekend’s inaugural festivities compared to 2009, but many celebrities braved the cold to celebrate and perform for President Obama’s second term celebrations.

Kelly Clarkson, James Taylor and Beyonce serenaded the First family and attendees at the Inauguration on Monday. However, it has been reported Beyonce lip-synced the national anthem with vocals she prerecorded Sunday night.

Also spotted at the ceremony was rapper Jay-Z, Katy Perry, John Mayer, Eva Longoria, Stevie Wonder, Cyndi Lauper, former Boston Celtic Bill Russell, Ashley Judd and John Legend.

Celebs Sign On For Inaugural Events

As President Barack Obama’s inaugural weekend quickly approaches, more entertainers are signing up to join the celebrations and events around Washington D.C.

Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson and James Taylor are set to perform during the Inauguration ceremony on the West Front of the Capitol on January 21.

The AP reports that Katy Perry, Smokey Robinson, Usher, Alicia Keys, Brad Paisley and Fun are set to sing at Obama’s inaugural galas Jan. 21 and a children’s concert on Jan. 19. Performers including Marc Anthony, Stevie Wonder, John Legend and the cast of “Glee” have also signed on to perform at various galas that weekend.

City officials estimate a drop in attendance and predict an the crowd at the inaugural ceremony to be somewhere between 600,000 and 800,000 – down from 1.8 million in 2009.

During Obama’s first inauguration in 2009, celebrities flocked to the celebrations. Speakers and performers included Jack Black, Steve Carell, Rosario Dawson, Jamie Foxx, Tom Hanks, Ashley Judd, Martin Luther King III, Queen Latifah, Laura Linney, George Lopez, Kal Penn, Marisa Tomei, Denzel Washington, Forest Whitaker, Tiger Woods, Master Sgt. Caleb Green, Bruce Springsteen, Mary J.
