Gwyneth Paltrow Gushes About Obama at Fundraiser

President Obama made his way to the swanky Brentwood, Calif. home of Gwyneth Paltrow on Thursday, for a fundraiser on behalf of the Democratic National Committee.

Tickets for the event began at $1,000, with an intimate dinner following the reception at $15,000 a ticket, Deadline reports. An estimated 200 guests attended, including actress Julia Roberts and actor Bradley Whitford.

According to pool reports, Paltrow gushed about Obama during her speech. “I am one of your biggest fans, if not the biggest,” Paltrow said. “So anyway, I’ll shut up now and just say welcome and thank you and we’re so excited and you’re so handsome that I can’t speak properly.”

Paltrow hosted a fundraiser for the president’s 2012 reelection campaign in London, with Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.

The Washington Post reports Vice President Joe Biden will swing through Los Angeles on Monday to host a fundraiser for female Democratic candidates. Carole King is set to perform.

On Tuesday, Obama will continue his fundraising blitz in New York City at the home of Intrepid CEO Bill White. Guests are expected to include Mark Wahlberg, Harvey Weinstein and Aretha Franklin, according to Page Six.
