Scarlett Johansson Endorses Hillary Clinton for President

Actress and outspoken Hollywood Democrat, Scarlett Johansson, endorsed Hillary Clinton for president in 2016, in the October issue of Harper’s BAZAAR.

The actress’ commitment to film is matched by her passion for politics, she tells Mair, expressing her hope that at the next US Presidential election in 2016, Hilary Clinton will win.  “I think we could only benefit from having someone in office who has been a mother; women have a different perspective because of that maternal instinct.”

In recent years, Johansson has advocated for Democratic candidates and causes. The actress campaigned for President Barack Obama during both election cycles, and even  spoke at the Democratic National Convention in 2012 (below).

Johansson joins the long list of celebrities who have endorsed Clinton for president, including Dustin Hoffman, Michael Bolton, Sarah Jessica Parker, Geena Davis and Anna Wintour.
