Actor Morgan Freeman said President Obama has done his job and done it well, on Travis Smiley on Tuesday.

“I think that we did a really good thing when we elected Barack Obama,” Freeman said. “He is absolutely and totally qualified for the job. He has proven himself to be not only qualified for the job, but very good at it. The things that he’s managed to get accomplished in the face of so much pushback is amazing.”

The Oscar-winning actor said Republicans don’t make him comfortable.

“And I think — this is Morgan Freeman’s personal thought — we’re going to be in a lot of trouble if we don’t re-elect him because people on the other side of the fence scare me.”

In 2011, Freeman stated Obama had made the country more racist.

“Their stated policy, publicly stated, is to do whatever it takes to see to it that Obama only serves one term,” he told Piers Morgan. “What’s, what does that, what underlies that? ‘Screw the country. We’re going to whatever we do to get this black man, we can, we’re going to do whatever we can to get this black man outta here.'”
