Bolton told Abby Huntsman, daughter of former GOP presidential candidate Jon Huntsman, “if [Hillary] decides to run, I would walk across the country to get her into office.”

Bolton said he has a history with the Clintons and said President Clinton’s work in the last decade has been “very powerful and inspiring.”

“I love the Clintons and they know it,” Bolton said. “Bill and I are friends for 22 years, 23 years. He’s already creating the greatest post-presidency in the history of the presidency.”

The two also talked about politics and Bolton’s interest in the political world. One of the more important and impassioned pieces of legislation Bolton is interested in is the Violence Against Women Act.

“It’s been a long time since I’ve been on TV, 30 years, when there were much simpler upfronts — and a mound of coke,” Williams said.  “In the old days there were only 3 networks, but now there are hundreds. And if a little child wants to be transported to the Land Of Make-Believe, there’s Fox News.”

Williams, a staunch Democratic donor and supporter, stars in the upcoming movie The Butler as President Dwight Eisenhower (below).

The fundraiser for the DNC and Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) was to raise funds for the 2014 midterm elections.

Approximately 65 guests attended the fundraiser, paying between $16,200-$20,000 a ticket. Among the guests at Weinstein’s house, were Steve Martin, Melanie Griffith, Steve Buscemi, Uma Thurman, as well as fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger and White House staffers Dan Pfeiffer and Jay Carney.

The New York Post reported that Saturday Night Live comedian Jay Pharaoh impersonated Obama in a skit and was assisted by Timberlake, Biel and Martin who played White House staffers.

This was the first Hollywood-hosted fundraiser since Obama’s 2012 election. Obama tapped celebrity hosts such as George Clooney, Sarah Jessica Parker, Beyonce, Jay-Z and Anna Wintour to host fundraisers in 2012.

Rock, who is interviewed by the Rolling Stone, is prepping for his summer tour and is setting ticket prices at $20 for every seat at every concert. But Republican lawmakers in certain states have passed laws that add ticket fees to the price of tickets and don’t allow paperless tickets. This upsets Rock.

“That’s one of the times I’m f—king embarrassed to be a Republican,” he seethes. “It’s f—king Republican lawmakers passing those laws, you dumbasses. They already did it in New York and they’re trying to do it in Michigan. I’ve even called some of those guys to try and stop it.” He’s also livid with Ticketmaster. “They’re taking a fucking five-dollar service charge,” he says. “It’s 25 percent of the fucking ticket! That’s fucked up, but I’ve beaten them up as much as I can. Then Walmart stepped in and agreed to charge just $20, and it includes parking.”

Rock publicly supported Mitt Romney in 2012 and appeared at fundraisers with the Republican candidate, but he said he respects other people’s political opinions.

“People in this country just hate each other for voicing an opinion, especially in my business,” Rock said. “I’m like the fucking lone wolf. Look, I tend to vote Republican, but I don’t like the hardcore views on either side and I’m not in bed with anybody. I’d probably be more Libertarian, but I’m a firm believer you have to pick a side. I can’t be playing the middle. If you think differently, that’s fine. I’d love to grab a beer and hear why you think that way.”

Rock said he is pro-gay marriage and pro-abortion rights, but declined to endorse any candidate for the 2016 election.

The Washington Examiner reports the AAN is suing the entertainment vendor of the convention.

Gaga wasn’t the only superstar to turn down the seven figure offer. Country star Dolly Parton and rapper Pitbull also declined to perform.

Gaga fundraised for President Obama and later performed with Tony Bennett at a White House staff inauguration ball in January.

The convention eventually hired Kid Rock and Journey to play during the festivities.

The RNC issued the following statement:

“A story in yesterday’s Washington Examiner unfortunately left many people with the impression that the RNC had asked Lady Gaga and other artists to play at the Republican National Convention.    To be clear, the RNC neither asked, offered, thought of or ever considered the idea of Lady Gaga performing at our convention. And clearly, we didn’t offer a million dollars.”

AAN also issued a statement that is posted on the RNC’s website:

“In planning for our fundraiser in Tampa, e-mails we’re exchanged between AAN fundraising staff and outside vendors exploring various performance options.  AAN is an independent group and is no way affiliated with or connected to the RNC nor was the RNC ever privy to these internal discussions. We considered some acts and didn’t seriously consider others, but we were ultimately happy with a great Kid Rock concert. Our events were independent from the official convention and the RNC.”

Booker is allegedly contemplating a run for New Jersey’s Senate seat. Current Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) recently announced his retirement.

Politico reports that the reception took place in Washington D.C. and was for a potential Senate run. Tickets ranged from $40 to $100 and 300 people were expected to attend, according to U.S. News and World Report.

Later this month, Hollywood mega-donors including Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and Bruce Willis are planning to host a fundraiser for Booker at producer Jerry Weintraub‘s house in Beverly Hills.

Although Newark Mayor Cory Booker hasn’t officially declared his Senate candidacy, Hollywood mega-donors are already fundraising for the rising Democratic star.

Industry bigwigs including Steven Spielberg, Kate Capshaw, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Bruce Willis, Bob Iger, Rob Reiner, J.J. Abrams, Troy Garity and Steve Bing are shelling out $5,000 to support the Senate hopeful, according to THR.

The event will be held at the Beverly Hills mansion of producer Jerry Weintraub on April 25. Both Winetraub and Willis are thought of as more conservative figures in the Hollywood community.

Last month, after serving three decades in the Senate, current New Jersey Senator Frank Lautenberg announced he would not seek reelection in 2014. Booker is thought to be the favored candidate on the Democratic side.

Franken is raffling off a all-expense paid trip to Los Angeles to have brunch with him and comedian Conan O’Brien. The brunch will take place April 7 at O’Brien’s house.

A contribution to the Minnesota Democrat’s campaign automatically enters supporters into the raffle for a chance to win. The winner gets to bring one other person to the brunch with the comedians.

Franken is up for reelection in 2014 and experts predict the race will be heated.

O’Brien also helped Franken fundraise during his 2008 election.

O’Brien and Franken both attended Harvard and were both writers for “Saturday Night Live” in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

O’Brien is set to host the White House Correspondents Dinner on April 27.

Actress Sarah Jessica Parker drew headlines last summer when she co-hosted a star-studded fundraiser for President Barack Obama’s reelection.

However, the “Sex and the City” actress has already made her pick for the 2016 election: former Sec. of State Hillary Clinton.

“Personally, and I mean this with all sincerity, I will be very, very sad if she doesn’t choose to run,” Parker told The Edit magazine. “I think she has so much to offer and is equipped to do it well, to be thoughtful, reasonable, strong, authoritative, empathetic.”

Parker said Clinton has all the right attributes for being a leader.

“The conventionally female parts of her can partner well with the parts of her that are considered not as female to make a great leader.”
