After the fundraising success of raffling off two tickets for the campaign event at George Clooney‘s house, the Obama campaign has now tapped Sarah Jessica Parker to do the same.
Both the President and First Lady will attend the event on June 14 at Parker’s New York City home.
In an email to Obama supporters, Parker said this election is more important than the 2008 election.
“This November’s election will determine whether we get to keep moving forward, or if we’re forced to go back to policies that ask people like my middle-class family in Ohio to carry the burden — while people like me, who don’t need tax breaks, get extra help,” Parker said.
Parker and husband Matthew Broderick previously supported Obama in 2008 and even participated in a phone bank for the campaign.
In the email, Parker said Obama is the only candidate where Americans can live the American dream.
“As a woman, a mother, and an entrepreneur, I need to believe our country can be a place where everyone has a fair shot at success,” she said.
